In the summer of 2007 three role players looking for a place to land wound up owning and running a glorious room on Infinitybound. Danse Macabre sat in the top two most populated rooms on the server until September of 2009.
Our glorious Dark Lady, my beloved Sistar and respected room host the Queen of Hearts fell upon tough times. Our floating moderator, the infamous Jack of Clubs struck out to find himself (or was that a radioactive radish?) Even myself found life outside of the world of words more pressing of a matter to attend to.
In our absence (or infrequent time spent within the walls of a place we'd made our home) the room's post count suffered a tragic loss. When informed via e-mail that this did not please the site that held open our doors the lot came together to discuss what should be done.
It was not an easy choice for any of us to make to close our doors and I assure you it pained us greatly to do. Life is sometimes far more important than the games we play, the words we write back and forth or the times we share in one another's company online.
The room may have fallen off the front page however the spirit of it lives on to this day and someday, when life allows, it may or may not return. For now, the message board remains... a shallow reminder. Derelict from time to time, though hardly forgotten.
Forgive us our humanity.
Sincerely, The Jack of Spades, Baron
